Noor have completed the first phase of design for the renovation and extension of this modernist hotel located in Patan, Kathmandu on a vantage point overlooking the city commanding 180 degree views of the Himalaya's.
Completely overhauling the look dated feel of the current hotel in order to create a lasting aesthetic for this, the first contemporary boutique destination in Kathmandu.
An important aspect of the design was to connect the hotel to its location and culture. In a city where many old techniques of manufacturing, such as lost wax casting, this connection was possible through customisation of furniture, rugs, handles and artworks using local techniques and processes.
The first phase of the project is due to start construction in 2018.
